Block Drop: fit it, fill it, clear it

A calm, clever block puzzle. Drag pieces from the tray onto an 8×8 board, fill a whole row or column and watch it clear. Clear two or more at once for a combo, keep the board open, and see how far you can go.

How to play Block Drop

1. Three blocks wait in the tray under the board. Drag one onto any space it fits.
2. Fill a whole row or a whole column and it clears, giving you room again.
3. Clear more than one line with one block for a bigger score, and keep clearing move after move for a combo.
4. New blocks arrive only when all three in the tray are placed, so plan ahead.
5. The game ends when none of the blocks left in the tray fit anywhere on the board.

Three ways to play

• Classic: endless play for the highest score you can reach.
• Journey: 100 levels in ten chapters, from Beginner to Block Master, each with its own goal: clear a number of lines, reach a score, make a combo, or clear the whole board. Earn up to three stars on each.
• Daily: one new puzzle every day, the same for everyone.

Block puzzle tips

1. Look at all three pieces first. New blocks only come when the tray is empty, so place the awkward piece while you still have room for it.
2. Keep the middle open. Build along the edges and leave the centre free. A big square or a long bar needs open space to land.
3. Set up two lines at once. A piece that finishes a row and a column together scores more than two single clears.
4. Keep the combo going. Clearing on move after move builds the combo. Line up the next clear before you take this one.
5. Use undo and shuffle wisely. In levels you may get power-ups such as undo, to take back your last placement, and shuffle, for a fresh set of pieces. None is ever needed to finish a level.
