Twist the Bolt: one colour per bolt
A satisfying sort puzzle with real-looking hardware. Coloured hex nuts are mixed up on threaded bolts. Move them, one colour run at a time, until every bolt holds a single colour, then watch a glass tube in its colour slide down over the finished bolt.

How to play Twist the Bolt
- Tap a bolt to lift its top nut, or drag the nut across. Every nut of the same colour on top comes with it.
- Tap or drop on another bolt to screw the nuts down. A nut can only go onto an empty bolt or onto a nut of the same colour, and only if there is room.
- When a bolt is full of one colour it is finished, and a glass tube in that colour slides down over it.
- Finish every colour to clear the level. Fewer moves earn more stars.
- Stuck? Undo a move, ask for a hint, or restart. Some bolts are locked at the start and open as you finish colours.

Tips for the nuts and bolts sort puzzle
- Free up an empty bolt. An empty bolt takes any colour, which makes it the most useful space on the board. Try to clear one early.
- Do not bury a colour. Before you drop nuts onto a bolt, check what is underneath. Covering the last nut of a colour you need costs moves later.
- Move whole runs. All the same-colour nuts on top move together, so build longer runs and move them in one go.
- Think a few moves ahead for stars. Fewer moves earn more stars, so plan the order before you start twisting.
- Use undo, not restart. If a move goes wrong, undo it and try another. Hints are there when you are truly stuck.
